SCREEN 3M OF LIFE (design for industry)

The six overall designs of home textiles draw the influence of Jean-Michel Basquiat's doodle artworks and demonstrate three stages of my past 24 years of life. I want to separate it into three periods: Modularity, Melancholy and Maturity. The Modularity period represents a well-planned structural life in my middle school with musical instruments I practised and the test papers I wrote; it shows repeatability and modularity by overlapping the rectangles and the variant of music scores. The Melancholy period shows my mental breakdown period after I started studying abroad in high school; the colours are more chaotic, with elements like hands and eyes that interpret my inner call for help. The Maturity period depicts my delighted life with my beloved dog and cooking hobby.

The texture mapping shows my ideal presentation of the designs; the patterns will perfectly fit with some minimalist and modernist furniture and furnishings, for example, a home with industrial or Bauhaus style, and the textile with these designs will be a dynamic touch.
