This collection of surreal clothing was a reflection of my journey with bipolar disorder, influenced by Salvador Dali and Elsa Schiaparelli. I separated my experience into three stages: self-healing, revelation and death drive. I intend to mimic the feeling through the silhouette by incorporating the hand shape and creating the garment structure. I used chaotic colour combinations and surface treatments like marbling dye and polychromatic printing to convey the inner turmoil and fear I experienced. As one of the patients who had this mental disorder, I hope our condition could have an adequate understanding and this collection visualized our sensitive and helpless moment to raise awareness of bipolar disorder.
