ABOUT WIRES

The visual concept of this collection expresses the experience of people confined in their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. This series of metal works was created the same year the pandemic took hold of the world. Primarily crafted using various gauge wires, cooperated with PVC fabric and artificial fur. I intended to incorporate the weaving techniques used in textiles while integrating other materials, such as glass beads and PVC. During the pandemic, we must face the condition that we can not go outside; the invisible boundary confines our steps, bodies and sight. The resulting pieces capture the emotions and atmosphere of this unprecedented historical time.
